The main cause of the UTI is when bacteria gets into urine and travels up to the urinary bladder.  About 60% of female and 12% of male contracts UTI once during their lifetime that results in more than 8.1 million visits to health care provider each year. When infection gets to the kidneys it can cause fever and upper back pain often nausea and vomiting. Once infection reaches to the kidneys it must be treated immediately as it can become a life-threatening issue.
